You were right on the money (pardon the pun).  My wrist was  canted.  So, a slight over-correction in the wrist coupled with a reduction  in my tossing height--and there you have it, a perfectly straight hyped card  thrown by either hand.  So simple a remedy--why didn't I see it? Too close to it, perhaps. It's as though I was looking out a  window and only seeing my own condensed breath on the window pane; I  confused that for a cloudy day. Needed to hear the obvious from someone other  than myself.  AND who better than from the best--Lee Asher! Thanks so much for your gracious response and expert help - David
